William King: William King was a prominent figure in American history, known for his leadership and political influence during the Revolutionary War. He was a delegate to the Continental Congress from Virginia and served as the first president of the United States in Congress Assembled.
Military Career: Prior to his political career, King served in the Virginia militia during the French and Indian War, where he rose to prominence as an officer.
